Find Safety Shoes for Foodservice with Shoes For Crews

Sophie Perrin

Wet floors, or floors made slippery by dirt or spilled liquids, improperly stored objects, broken glass or crockery, time pressure (“ rush ”)… Foodservice professionals are exposed to various hazards related to their work, where the risks of cuts, burns, same-level falls or objects stored at height are real.

To prevent these workplace accidents, as well as reduce their frequency and severity, preventive measures, first collective and then individual, must be adopted by employers, as indicated in Articles L4121-1 et seq. of the French Labour Code. These include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), particularly safety shoes for foodservice that help prevent slips and trips. Since 31% of workplace accidents in this sector are caused by falls, this is one of the main recommendations of the French National Research and Safety Institute (INRS).

To meet these needs, Shoes For Crews has developed a range of shoes specially designed for the various foodservice professions, both kitchen and front-of-house roles, and we are going to introduce you to a few models. Like all our collections, this selection focuses on :

  • Safety : thanks to an anti-slip sole whose results in slip-resistance tests greatly exceed the requirements of the standard.
  • Comfort :. Providing quality shoes is one way to improve the working conditions of employees who must remain standing throughout their shift.
  • Design : from the most classic to the most modern, our models meet the standard while adapting to the style of your uniforms.
  • Durability : at Shoes For Crews, we know that budget control is essential for every business, so we make sure to offer durable models with excellent value for money.

Brandon black, our new safety shoe for kitchen teams

Unisex, the Brandon black model is a safety shoe specially designed for kitchen teams. Featuring a composite toe cap resistant to up to 200 Joules, it is S3L certified according to the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard. To provide comfort and safety throughout their shift, it has an anti-slip, clog-resistant sole equipped with TripGuard technology (anti-trip) that makes it easier to move from one surface to another. The spacing between its traction patterns limits the amount of debris that can become lodged in the sole, while their depth also improves its durability and wear life. In addition, to help prevent cut hazards, the Brandon shoe also has a puncture-resistant sole.
