The ideal slip-resistant kitchen shoes: 3 models

So let us take a closer look at three different slip-resistant kitchen shoes.

Number 1: Zinc

First, we would like to introduce the Zinc . This all-rounder is an occupational shoe in the “OB” category with the following additional certifications:

• SR: Slip resistance on ceramic tile floors with sodium lauryl sulphate solution and on steel floors with glycerine 
• E: Energy absorption in the heel area

The alternating pattern of the slip-resistant outsole achieves a particularly high degree of slip resistance. This ensures your staff can move safely through their day!

The extra-light (only 272 grams in size 38), yet durable EVA material makes the Zinc the perfect companion for kitchen assistants who spend long hours on their feet but are not necessarily at risk from falling knives.

In addition, the Zinc is easy to clean, water-repellent and easy to slip on and off, while the heel strap provides sufficient support. For good reason, many businesses choose the Zinc as their kitchen shoe.

Number 2: Triston II SB

Next, we present the Triston II SB. Also a clog, the Triston II SB is essentially the technically advanced big brother of the Zinc. 

On the one hand, this is because the Triston II SB, as its name suggests, is a safety shoe . It owes this certification in part to its composite toe cap, which can withstand up to 200 joules.

On the other hand, this is due to the fact that its also SR-certified outsole is additionally equipped with widely spaced traction lugs . These help reduce clogging to a minimum. This in turn makes your outsole easier to clean and prevents contaminants from becoming trapped, without compromising slip resistance.

This slip-resistant kitchen shoe also stands out for its comfort. The removable, cushioned EVA insole and its low weight - despite the toe cap, the shoe weighs only 429 grams in size 44 - make it especially comfortable to wear.

Of course, the Triston II SB is also water-repellent, thanks to its upper made from water-repellent microfibres.

Number 3: Brandon

Last, but definitely not least, let us take a closer look at the Brandon. This slip-resistant kitchen shoe is an S3 category safety shoe. This means that, in addition to its composite toe cap, it is also equipped with a penetration-resistant tread outsole .

What we particularly love about this model is the slip-resistant outsole with TripGuard, an in-house technology for added trip protection. The TripGuard design features a slight curvature and a tighter lug pattern, providing smoother transitions between different surfaces to help prevent trip accidents.
