Sirha Lyon, a powerful international economic driver
Olivier Ginon, Chairman and CEO of the GL events group, which includes the Sirha trade show in Lyon, defines this event as “a powerful international economic tool” that welcomes hundreds of decision-makers from around the world each year, “whether among exhibiting companies, on the event stages or in the show aisles”.
This event brings together innovation, vision, knowledge-sharing and expertise in one place, enabling visitors not only to discover and draw inspiration, but also to embrace new developments in an ever-changing ecosystem.
Sirha Lyon 2023 trade show in a few figures
To reflect this renewal, this 21st edition is structured around five pillars that lie at the heart of the sector’s concerns. These five Sirha Dynamics are as follows:
Technonature (for a better balance between people and nature)
Consume less, but better
Human well-being
Enhanced human creativity (preserving expertise)
A dream of modernity and escape
In practical terms, 4,000 exhibitors and brands are expected across 140,000 m², with an average area of 40 m² per exhibitor. 22% of the total area, or 13,789 m², will be occupied by international exhibitors, representing nearly 300 stands set up in 14 pavilions (Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Japan, Overseas Territories) and a total of 27 countries represented. There is one new feature to note: a Saudi pavilion will be set up at the show. According to Sirha Lyon 2021 figures, 52% of visitors are decision-makers, representing just as many business opportunities.
Sirha Lyon 2023 is also keen to highlight new Food Service entrepreneurs through:
a Start Up village bringing together 30 start-ups;
its Sirha Innovation Awards, which recognise exhibitor innovations with 12 awards;
the Futur(e)s Food initiative, which showcases five French “food entrepreneurs”.
Finally, the show celebrates three major international food trade competitions:
The International Catering Cup, which honours 24 butchers, delicatessen specialists and caterers.
The Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, welcoming 20 teams of three pastry chefs, chocolatiers and ice cream makers.
The Bocuse d’Or, bringing together 24 chefs, each from a different country.

Come and discover our new products
The Sirha trade show in Lyon is an opportunity for us to present our new range of eco-friendly footwear and tell you about our sustainability efforts.
Committed to a social and environmental responsibility approach, Shoes For Crews has explored the possibility of introducing recycled components into the linings, as well as the insoles and outsoles, across its entire footwear range.
We are now able to produce linings for all our models from 100% recycled PET. This process will enable us to significantly save on the resources used. The insoles will be made from recycled EVA, a material sourced mainly from flip-flops and waste from industrial production. The proportion of recycled rubber used for the outsoles will also be gradually increased.
