The Sentinel

A top-class waterproof work shoe: the polyurethane Sentinel, like the Bastion and Guardian IV, is an S4 category safety Wellington boot. This standard means our Wellington boots offer the following features:

• a toe cap that withstands 200 joules
• meets slip-resistance requirements
• enclosed heel area (fully enclosed heel)
• meets antistatic requirements
• heel energy absorption
• no water penetration
• waterproofness

Depending on your area of use, you can choose between models made from PVC - polyvinyl chloride (Bastion & Guardian IV) and those made from PU - polyurethane (Sentinel). Both materials offer specific properties, giving you the advantage of being able to choose the model that is right for you:

• PU has higher abrasion resistance, particularly in applications involving extreme temperatures. PVC can lose its flexibility in extreme cold (below -20° C), while PU can retain it.
• However, PVC is better suited to acidic chemicals
• PVC is less susceptible to transferring odours or flavours (making it ideal for butchery!)
