Parmi ces pr\u00e9cautions, se trouve <\/span><b>le port d\u2019\u00e9quipements de protection individuelle, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9 EPI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Qu\u2019est-ce qu\u2019un \u00e9quipement de protection individuelle et comment le choisir ? Dans cet article, apr\u00e8s avoir propos\u00e9 une d\u00e9finition, nous nous pencherons sur les diff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories d\u2019EPI dont celles applicables au secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie-restauration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 800; font-size: 18pt; color: #21293C;\">Qu\u2019est-ce que les EPI ?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Les \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle ou EPI \u00ab <\/span><b>sont des dispositifs ou moyens destin\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre port\u00e9s ou tenus par une personne en vue de la prot\u00e9ger contre un ou plusieurs risques susceptibles de menacer sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ainsi que sa sant\u00e9.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> \u00bb <span style=\"color: #0096b8;\">(<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0096b8;\"><a style=\"color: #0096b8;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/codes\/article_lc\/LEGIARTI000018511366#:~:text=Article%20R233%2D83%2D3%20(abrog%C3%A9)&amp;text=Un%20ensemble%20constitu%C3%A9%20par%20plusieurs,un%20%C3%A9quipement%20de%20protection%20individuelle.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" hreflang=\"fr\" ><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Article R233-83-3 du Code du travail<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><span style=\"color: #0096b8;\">)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Ils englobent de nombreux \u00e9quipements, dont les gants, les lunettes, les casques, les chaussures ou encore les v\u00eatements de protection. Contrairement aux v\u00eatements de travail, qui v\u00e9hiculent une image de l\u2019entreprise \u00e0 laquelle appartient l\u2019employ\u00e9 et r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des besoins pratiques propres au m\u00e9tier, les v\u00eatements de protection r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des normes pr\u00e9cises qui ont pour but de prot\u00e9ger le personnel des dangers li\u00e9s \u00e0 son travail.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 800; font-size: 14pt; color: #FFC72C;\">Les cat\u00e9gories d\u2019EPI<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Selon la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/docsroom\/documents\/29201?locale=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" hreflang=\"fr\" ><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><span style=\"color: #0096b8;\">r\u00e9glementation europ\u00e9enne entr\u00e9e en vigueur en 2018<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">, <\/span><b>les \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle sont class\u00e9s selon trois niveaux de protection<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> qui r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des normes sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 chaque risque.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Les EPI de cat\u00e9gorie ou classe I<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> couvrent les risques mineurs, \u00e0 savoir :<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; des l\u00e9sions m\u00e9caniques superficielles ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; le contact avec des produits de nettoyage \u00e0 faible action ou le contact prolong\u00e9 avec de l&rsquo;eau ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; le contact avec des surfaces chaudes ne d\u00e9passant pas 50 \u00b0C ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; les l\u00e9sions oculaires dues \u00e0 l&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du soleil (autres que lors de l&rsquo;observation du soleil) ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; des conditions atmosph\u00e9riques qui ne sont pas de nature extr\u00eame.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Les EPI de cat\u00e9gorie ou classe II<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> couvrent les risques autres que ceux repris dans les cat\u00e9gories I et III, \u00e0 savoir des risques importants pouvant entra\u00eener des l\u00e9sions graves.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Les EPI de cat\u00e9gorie ou classe III <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">couvrent les risques susceptibles d&rsquo;entra\u00eener des cons\u00e9quences tr\u00e8s graves telles des l\u00e9sions irr\u00e9versibles ou la mort. Ils sont li\u00e9s aux \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants :<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; substances et m\u00e9langes dangereux pour la sant\u00e9 ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; atmosph\u00e8res pr\u00e9sentant un d\u00e9ficit en oxyg\u00e8ne ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; agents biologiques nocifs ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; rayonnements ionisants ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; environnements \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature dont les cons\u00e9quences sont comparables \u00e0 celles d&rsquo;une temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;air d&rsquo;au moins 100 \u00b0C ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; environnements \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature dont les cons\u00e9quences sont comparables \u00e0 celles d&rsquo;une temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;air de -50 \u00b0C ou moins ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; chutes de hauteur ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; choc \u00e9lectrique et travail sous tension ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; noyade ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; coupures provoqu\u00e9es par des tron\u00e7onneuses tenues \u00e0 la main ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; jets \u00e0 haute pression ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; blessures par balle ou coups de couteau ;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">&#8211; bruit nuisible.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Chaque cat\u00e9gorie d\u2019EPI est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une <\/span><b>proc\u00e9dure de certification afin de garantir la fiabilit\u00e9 des produits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">.
